As often we go around in our society or precisely even around our homes, there are lots and loads of prejudices prevail which make it all the way mandatory for women to carry our the household chores and should pass on the same culture to their little girls to carry the same fate forward. This definitely does not sound pleasurable to neither you and nor me, or to anyone else, for that matter, and many would take a step ahead to justify their prejudice as the supreme law which must prevail without any hands being raised or the fingers pointed in the support of equal sharing of load in the household activities.
What we sow, is what we reap. And, thus it is time to channelize and make children realise that household chores are not merely the domain of women. The defective learnings must be stopped from passing into the younger generation. Equal share of work and responsibilities must be taught, and right values must be given at the right time and at the right place itself, i.e at home, as it is rightly said that charity begins at home, and so is the similar case here where children should be taught the right morals and practices so that they learn how to fight the imbalances within the household chores, and share the workload in a responsible manner in the family. The children are much like the clay pot, and thus assume the shape they are given. Therefore, quality shape and direction should be given to them in order to bring them up in a healthy manner which would enable them to lead life efficiently and graciously.
Thus, it is rightly said that as you sow, and so shall you reap. Well, this is a very old adage and holds true to the times in the 21st century as well. To come to talk of this adage precisely, the motto of quoting the above statement here is that if men at home do not #ShareTheLoad, they are passing on to the similar message to the future generation, the prejudice continues to prevail and there are wrong examples and models are being set before the nurturing and immature ones. It is high time that a reality check on these lines is done in a needful and appropriate manner so as to cut down the prejudices in the society and the share of responsibilities is equally seen amongst all the members of the house, where independent and respectful approach is followed towards all the chores in the family.
